How is the fishing in Virginia Beach?

We have excellent inshore and offshore fishing throughout the summer, and excellent inshore fishing for striped bass during the winter months. The inshore fishing ranges from a couple of miles up to about 12 miles out to the light tower. Possible catches include flounder, trout, spadefish, bluefish, mackerel, cobia and striped bass to name a few. The distance to the action packed offshore fishing averages about 60 miles. Possibilities include tuna, dolphin, wahoo, white marlin, blue marlin, and sailfish from late May into October. Depending on the weather, the yellowfin fishing and swordfishing could extend into December.

Where are you located?

We are located just inside of Rudee Inlet in Virginia Beach, VA which is about 8 miles south of the Cape Henry Lighthouse. Rudee Inlet is approx. 63 miles north of Oregon Inlet and approximately 100 miles south of Ocean City, MD.
